The CEED Group assists promoters and sponsors of viable, profitable and fundable projects to source for finance, provided the security and returns on investments can be guaranteed. We source for, and negotiate the finance that would afford project promoters and sponsors a higher level of flexibility and ease of access, while ensuring reduced costs and hassles of borrowing.
There are no restrictions with regard to the types of projects that can be funded. There is however the preference for projects that can offer realistic and sustainable benefits to people and the community where they are sited. There are also no limitations on the size of finance that can be sourced. But, we would usually prefer to raise funds from US $10million upwards.
Examples of projects currently being supported through facilitation of finance are: raising of working capital and investment funds for mortgage institutions, hotel development and management projects, property development projects, procurements and investments for manufacturing companies, and small refinery development, among others.
The promoter or sponsor of the project would be required to submit an executive summary of the project for which finance is being sought, together with a feasibility study and business plan. The financial records that would be required to be submitted by the project promoters or sponsors are those relating to the project, if it is an existing one and/or those of the promoters, if it is a new project.
Once there is proof that the applicant possesses a full understanding of the project and can also show proof of sufficient financial management capacity as revealed by the required financial statements, CEED would be glad to facilitate the raising of capital. This is in addition to offering other necessary assistance, as may be required.
An agreed engagement fee is charged by CEED, which is payable once the mandate is received. A success fee, which is a very small percentage of the amount raised is also payable on completion of the finance raising assignment.
